Life Skills & Value Education

Life Skills are the basic abilities that an individual needs to be successful in life. We as parents and teachers are always there to guide them, tell them what’s right and what's wrong. But it's not possible to always keep a check on the kids. There will be times when we are not there with the children, so the idea is to empower them so that they can take their own decisions and become responsible individuals. As it is said, "Give a Man a Fish and you Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man to Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime." Life skills training basically mean creating an aptitude for adoptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with demands and challenges of life. Life skills training focuses on enhancing the self – esteem, building confidence, being assertive, managing emotions, handling failures, communication and interpersonal skills, respecting others, being empathic, decision making, problem solving, resilience and much more. Personality development is also a part of Life Skills.

At MDPS, we believe education is essential for the growth of the child and of the nation; also life skills, personality development and value education are equally important.
