This is an eligibility condition for any student to appear for the exams; as per the CBSE bye laws. CBSE has become more vigilant and affirm on its affiliated schools for the compliance of 75% attendance for the students. (Rule 13 and Rule 14 of CBSE examination bye laws).

However, CBSE also gives relaxation in attendance under various categories. CBSE has set SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to address this issue. The CBSE has issued a schedule for “Condonation of Attendance”. Which is put for your information

The principal of the school, if convinced, will forward the case to the R.O. CBSE. The R.O. will take a call on the issue after assessing the merit of the case. Parents are once again requested to be extra careful on the issue. It is reiterated, that forwarding the request to RO by the school, for relaxation of attendance to any student, does not mandate to RO, for acceding the request.

If any parent is interested to know more or has any query, feel free to meet the school authorities on any school working day.
